Next
will be on selflessness, which means having no concern for self.
Selflessness is also the quality of not putting yourself first but
willing to give your time, money and effort etc.
Wow, how many couples are selfless in their homes and when I say couples I mean both the man and woman, especially the men. Selfishness in men is way higher than in women and I do not say this because I am a woman, but it is what I have come to see evident in most homes between a man and a woman, leaving kids yet out of the equation.
Now between couples a man is supposed to take care of his wife, but that do not happen these days anymore. As long as she is working the men thinks she should handle her stuff herself. True she will, but is that right? A woman can practically give up her life for her husband, but that I cannot say for 40% of men. Selflessness is one very key ingredient in marital success and bliss as you both now belong to each other totally and in everything.
How can you be married and not be willing to give your all to it, irrespective of what they have done, you need to know that you are married, and it is never about you again. The world will not stop because of you. Your wife should now stop working because she is married to you.
Your wife should not have friends again because she is married to you. Your wife should not dress hot anymore, but like a grandmother because she is married to you. But you can go out and cheat on her with the hot dressers etc. Your husband cannot have female friends because he is married to you etc. The list of selfishness is endless.
What I am saying here my Pearl Jewels is that you are married, you do not own yourself again, neither should the world stop revolving because you are married.
These and other ingredients like patience, sense of humour, honesty, happiness etc, are important in your marriage and as long as this group exist, I will keep bringing them up as I feel led. But in the mean time, this is where I will love to take a break on my ingredients while you my Pearl Jewels build on other issues as discussed in this group. Have a Great weekend and stay focused in your ventures My PJs. #PJO#
