There is a quote I saw that says " Marriages are fragile. They must
be nurtured and protected if they are to survive a lifetime". What I
will say is that marriages are indeed for a life time and not for 1 year
or 2. Now what I believe this quote should teach is that as a spouse to
another spouse, you should learn to handle your spouse properly, you
should be a learner, giver, forgiver, lover, servant, etc as much as you
can fill the blanks with. Your spouse is fragile whether
you believe it or not is the truth. How you treat them matters a lot.
Some people just feel because they are married, is the time for them to
relax and do things that suite just them alone and this is a very wrong
notion.
Once you are married, you should note that your task and job has increased, and satisfying yourself alone is selfish and wicked. It's the time where you learn more about your spouse, it's the time you go to the gym more if you added weight after child bearing and your husband says he needs you back. It's the time where you talk more even if you hate gisting, it's the time where you pay attention more to hear what your spouse is telling you is needed for a smooth running of your home etc.
Therefore my single Pearl jewels if you are not ready to be committed to all these task and much more, if you are not ready to put your strength into making your marriage blissful, then you are not ready yet for marriage. If you are not ready most importantly to make God happy when you get married, then please remain single.
For my married Pearl Jewels, I will say that you should learn to handle your marriage with the best care possible you can ever offer. Set your priorities right and straight. My DADA will say it is
1. God first. 2. Your spouse next. 3. Your kids next. 4. Your Job next. And so on.
So you see you have to set your priorities right so as to enjoy a happy ever ending. Have a blissful Tuesday my Pearl Jewels and have a productive day.#PJO#
